The increased decentralization of the energy system increases the relevance of the distribution grid. Fluctuating supply, sector coupling and flexible demand options pose new challenges that require innovative measures: AI is a powerful technology in order to optimize the energy system and to ensure a reliable and green energy supply for the future. Solutions that can quickly evaluate large amounts of data and provide immediate decision support are now available. However, the way to implementation in practice is often led by many questions from feasibility to commissioning. This session will present experiences and several examples of the application of AI and data-based solutions in the distribution grid.
