New energy planned for old airport

November 22, 2018 – After the international Berlin Brandenburg Airport opens, the site of Berlin’s old Tegel Airport will be turned into a research and industry park for urban technologies as well as a residential development with over 5,000 homes. The heating and cooling systems will be developed by E.ON and the municipal utility Berliner Stadtwerke. more

Clean energy retrofits

November 16, 2018 – The German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) has named the Stegerwald estate in Cologne’s Mülheim district as its 87th climate protection housing estate. Stegerwald is also the largest project to be selected for the scheme to date. The housing company DEWOG is retrofitting around 600 apartments in 16 buildings from the 1950s. more
