In a newly developed Berlin neighborhood with around 970 condos and apartments, GASAG Solution Plus is implementing a concept that includes both e-mobility and climate-friendly energy. The first of four housing complexes at the Maximilians Quartier is ready for occupancy.
The buildings include cogeneration power stations that produce electricity and heat, as well as 210 charging stations for privately owned e-vehicles and the neighborhood’s own electric car and e-bike sharing program. To implement the latter, GASAG has brought on board Ubitricity – a supplier of e-charging solutions – and car sharing company mobileeee. The charging solutions are based on an intelligent charging cable with integrated energy reading and billing technology. Users have to purchase the cable together with a mobile electricity contract for personalized use and billing of the electricity used.
